Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a bill?
Tap the "+" button to add a new biller. Enter the name, amount, due date, billing frequency, and category. The bill will appear in your list and be tracked automatically going forward.
How do I mark a bill as paid?
Tap the bill in your list and use the Mark Paid button, or swipe the bill to access the quick-pay action. Bill Docket will record the payment date and automatically reset the bill for the next billing cycle.
How does the bill forecast work?
The forecast uses each biller's due date and billing frequency to project your upcoming obligations over 30, 60, 90, or 365 days. It updates automatically whenever you add, edit, or remove a biller.
How do I set up due date reminders?
Open any bill and tap the Notifications option. You can choose to be reminded 7 days, 3 days, 1 day, or the day a bill is due. The app will also send an overdue alert if a bill passes its due date unpaid. Bill Docket will ask for notification permission the first time you enable a reminder.
How do I export a report?
Go to the Reports section, select the time period and filter (by biller or category), then tap Export. You can export as a PDF for printing or sharing, or as a CSV for use in a spreadsheet.
How does iCloud sync work?
If you're signed into iCloud on your device, Bill Docket can optionally sync your bill data across all your Apple devices using the same Apple ID. You can enable or disable this in the app's Settings. iCloud sync is optional — the app works fully offline without it.
What are the in-app purchases?
Bill Docket is free to download. Certain features may require a one-time or subscription purchase within the app. You will always be shown the price and asked to confirm before any purchase is charged. Purchases are processed securely by Apple through the App Store.
Does the app collect any of my data?
No. Bill Docket does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All bill information stays on your device (or in your personal iCloud account if you enable sync). There are no ads, no analytics, and no third-party data collection of any kind.
The app isn't working properly. What should I do?
